I am very grateful for the care myself and my baby have received at Baring road medical centre in the last year. I transferred my care from another local GP practice and it was the best decision I have made. I have always been able to get an appointment for myself or for my baby when I need it (unfortunately we have needed quite a few). All nursing and medical staff I have met have been professional and kind and I have felt that my baby and I are in safe hands when we have had an issue. Reception staff are polite and professional and you get the sense that they really care about helping you. I have never been seen late for an appointment - infact I've been seen early on a few occasions! Very grateful to the fantastic team.
I've seen a few reviews on here with negative comments which is unfortunate. Personally I've never had a bed experience with the doctors here, in fact quite the opposite. I've seen three different doctors here, two of whom have been incredible. Taken the time to help out and genuinely showing interest and listening. I haven't a bad word to say. Also, once checked in I haven't waited longer than about 15 minutes to be seen, unlike other places where I've waited for 40 minutes or more due to delays. The practice its self - it's a little difficult to get appointments. You must ring at 8am to get an appointment, otherwise to book for another day you're looking at 4 weeks or so in advance, which can be tricky.

Had back surgery here and all the staff could not have done more to help, receptionist at check in was great, she was fully aware in was nervous and dealt with me wonderfully, pre op the staff ensured I knew everything that was going to happen. Physio was round hours later as it's better to get moving sooner rather than later and slowly progressed into being able to get up and walk and also climb stairs only 2 days after surgery. The food is wonderful as are the waitresses, always checking you've got enough to drink or if you want another. Nurses just checking up on everything and constantly making sure you know to use the call button for anything no matter how small it may be. Everyone has such a friendly attitude and is chatty as long as you're also up for a conversation, including the cleaning staff too which personally I enjoy a chat and a laugh where possible. :)
Went to have blood drawn for a Medichecks blood test. I went early (8am) and there was plenty parking and I was the first patient. The nurse was super friendly and explained everything in detail. Overall a very pleasant experience (at least as far as hospital visits go.)

I found them generally supportive and have helped me in the right way I hope that alll gps one day will be able to proscribe naltrexone as it’s a medication that has saved my life due to battling with addiction and I had to be referred to get it !! Not the gps fought it’s just due to lack of knowledge thos that battle with addiction and find AA a struggle or smart recovery check out the sinclear method it may help you with your battle with alcoholism these gps have been amazing support and so has Andrew hong !!! Looks at the C3 Foundation Europe and options saves life’s !!! It’s changing mine thankfully now I need some sycalogical support to help !!! But I know the gps are generally great and help the best they can
This GP is hit or miss. Difficult to get appointments as always busy, however lately it's easier as you can book Online in advances. Some of the doctors don't know what they are talking about and search on Google for a solution to the problem. However some doctors are really great.

Booked a birthday party for a large group of children on the Autism spectrum. The children had a wonderful time. There were at least 3 members of staff with the children the whole time. The staff were kind and extremely patient with the children and were constantly playing with them which helped all of them have a wonderful time. Cannot praise the young staff enough.

My boyfriend and I were at this charity shop Saturday last week, and the guys at the shop were very friendly and they had a very large collection of records. We were able to browse at our leisure, and bought quite a few things. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made us feel very comfortable. Definitely recommended.

Truly wonderful place for my Mum to spend the last few weeks of her life. My mum arrived after a 3 month stay in hospital at the age of 96. We knew that she was terminally ill on her admission. The staff were very caring and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The last week of my mother’s life, Our family members descended on Elmwood and we were there every day until late evening. The staff were constantly checking that we had everything we needed and were very supportive to all of our family, and very considerate when caring for my mum and offering us tea and sympathy whenever appropriate. I cannot thank them enough for keeping my mum clean, comfortable and as happy as she could be. The staff were all kind and caring and made us feel welcome in a very friendly and happy environment. If you have a loved one who needs care I highly recommend Elmwood.

This home had the most compassionate, hardworking friendly staff and management we encountered so far while viewing various homes in Bromley and Bexley. They will make relatives feel treasured. Clean and homely, each resident looked well cared for and interacted with. I would place my sister here when she's old!

I was given a page of exercises by my GP which didn't really help, so I deceided to try Acupuncture and contacted Emma. She was very professional and made me feel at ease during the whole process. Tracey has treated me on a number of occasions from acupuncture to facials and massage. She is both friendly and professional. Tracey has a beautiful home, makes you feel very relaxed and welcome, and lives right next to a lovely park, so all in all, the needles are a welcome monthly treat, both for me and my dog! Have seen Kerrie now for 3 sessions, today will be my 4th. Been suffering with back, knee and butt pain for years, and although I’m pain free at the moment the sessions have helped with my clicking and clunking body. I know there has been a lot of -ve feedback but I have been going Vision Express for years for all my optical needs and no matter which store, the staff have been helpful, welcoming and lovely; this branch is no exception. On my first visit I did have to wait a bit for to see the optician but apologies were made. When it came to choosing my new glasses, the branch manager came to assist and spent time helping me to choose the best options to suit my prescription. And they arrived at the time period stated. Keep up the good work.
Excellent experience. This is the best experience I have ever had in any opticians. They have had bad reviews and you can tell they are really trying to improve. My eye test was with a lovely lady who had 20 years of experience. She got the right lense for me on the first go. Secondly to an Asian lady who usually works in the Orpington branch. She was very precise, honest and reassuring. I picked lots of glasses I liked and she was with me the whole time, holding glasses for me and putting them in a special place for me to come back to. Finally, I went to pick up the glasses (so I was waiting before I left this review). They fitted perfectly. A lovely man in a pink shirt made me comfortable whilst he got the cases and made me try everything on to make sure the fit was good. The branch does get busy and it can be tough for these staff but I feel they really are trying to put in effort and I noticed the Asian lady that I was with constantly checking to make sure everyone was being served.

When I was looking for an osteopath, reviews were hugely helpful in making my decision. Chris had/has great reviews and they are totally warranted. I had never been to an osteopath before, and wasn’t sure what to expect, but Chris put me at my ease straight away. Very friendly and personable. He totally knows his stuff and after 2 sessions, I have seen a massive difference in the problems I presented with. The biggest compliment I can pay is that I have recommended Chris to my friends, and my boyfriend who avoids medical interactions as much as possible! Not only did he meet Chris, he is going back for a second appointment in a fortnight.
After a nasty bout of viral meningitis, I was left with severe dizziness, vomiting and headaches. After being very unwell; unable to function for 6 months I saw, on a meningitis forum, someone with the same symptoms as me, recommending cranial osteopathy and acupuncture. I found Chris online, gave him a call and he agreed to treat me. After just 3 sessions of cranial osteopathy and only one acupuncture treatment, Chris fixed me! I am off all medication the hospital had me on (including pain relief patches for headaches and a concoction of anti sickness drugs) and I've not had a headache or been sick since. If it weren't for Chris, his magic hands and his box of needles, I'd still be in bed dizzy and throwing up. I am so grateful and so impressed, I now have him working on my back. I came to Ann panicking that I would never be able to walk properly or exercise again following a hip replacement operation at the age of 54. Not only has Ann taken the time to calm and reassure me that my rate of recovery is quite normal, she has got me walking almost normally (I am 11 weeks post op and have a leg length discrepancy which will be rectified when I have my other hip replaced). Ann is patient with me, constantly reassuring and continually assessing my exercises to ensure I continue to improve. She also gives the most wonderful deep tissue massage that has most definately speeded up my muscle recovery. I cannot recommend Ann enough!! She is my light at the end of the tunnel!!
Would highly recommend. Ann has been fantastic. She took the time to understand my problem (running related knee issue) and what I was hoping to achieve. Over the course of several appointments she gave me some great advice and explained things in a very clear way to me that made sense. I'm glad to say that I am starting to make some really good progress with her help.
